“staging authenticities” by itineraries that never take us “home”?
what can I say?
whose voices am I consuming as I say
why can I not say
when you can
but yet you want their authentic voices
what I tell you cannot be trusted
that’s what you say
as if you had heard the authentic
yourself
then why do you need me to reveal it to you
if you know what it should look like?

in black and white
thats how you stage authenticities
in yesterday and todays journeys
thats how you stage authenticities
as you free float between
modernity and modernity…

why would we want to get home anyways?
what does home have/mean that we can’t get here? (why isn’t here home?)
what secrets/normativities does “home” stage that we long to belong to?
what if my life(style) means i can’t be home on the old homestead or the newly developed one, if neither rurality or the metropole can encompass what i want to call home?
how is it that your staging of authenticities tells me what home is, regardless of the story i want to tell?
