I woke up this morning thinking of Dominance and Rebellion and wondering what the story of the slayer of Kings known as Parasurama would tell me today.

Why did the two avatars coexist in the telling of this myth?

- the one reinstating a particular form of governmentality – Rama

- and the one systematically demolishing Representatives of Authority – Parasurama

what does the schizophrenia of the moment of their co-existence tell us about the Avataric existences

in today’s Global cultures?

I am on a different sort of journey this winter break…

not hopping on a flight to Sheffield, Minneapolis or Hyderabad.

not driving down to Chicago, Milwaukee, Boston or Cleveland.
